Sauerkraut is made with traditional Russian recipe by lactic acid fermentation. Thanks to the production method, sauerkraut contains lactic acid bacteria that are important for the body. Sauerkraut contains little energy, but even more vitamin C.
Sauerkraut can be used for cooking as raw, fried, stewed or cooked. It fits in salads and as a side dish as such. If the sauerkraut taste is too strong for your taste, you can rinse it lightly with cold water.
